Getting started
Install Vesper, make a first edit in the studio on your own computer, then choose how edits reach the live site.
Vesper adds a studio at /admin to an Astro site you already have. Getting started takes three steps: install the integration, edit something in local mode, then decide how edits get published.
Local mode needs no account and no setup. The studio runs inside astro dev and saves to the files on your computer, and you commit them as you would any change. Many sites never need more than that.
When other people need to edit from the deployed site, add GitHub mode, where editors sign in with their own GitHub accounts, or the cloud, where they sign in with an email link and work in drafts, with review where you want it. You can add either later without changing your content.
- InstallAdd Vesper to an Astro site with one command, then open the studio.
- Your first editA tour of the studio in local mode, from opening an entry to saving it, with the body editor, images and page trees.
- PublishingHow an edit reaches the live site in each mode, from committing local changes yourself to editors publishing from the deployed studio.
